timura wood is thermally treated with the patented vacuum-press-dewatering-method (Vacu³). This process reduces the absorption of moisture within the wood – this means that the final product has reduced swelling and shrinking behaviour without the danger of cracking. In addition, timura wood has an improved resistance against mould fungus, blue stain and wood pests. Therefore we can use timura wood in wet areas such as showers, Sauna, spas or on top of heated flooring. Thus timura wood is fit to be laid in living- and wellness areas for private and commercial use. With our Vacu³-Method we apply heat by means of hotplates directly to the wood surface. In comparison to other thermal processes our technology is faster and much more efficient - this is because the wood itself is heated and not the heating chamber. Thereby we manage to create a consistent treatment method of all components and an extremely homogenous coloration.

We can produce wood in various defined shades of dark coulors – custom fitted to your taste. The natural characteristics of the wood, such as tree rings and wood grain are accentuated and preserved. Our product lacks the distinctive chimney like smell other thermally treated wood possesses. Timura’s solid wood floorings are treated throughout the entire work piece. Therefore the wood can be ground down repeatedly without loss of technological properties or optical appearance. Hence the product is by far more durable than other multi-layer laminates.
The vacuum which is created with our vacu³ will make the water within the wood become volatile at a temperature of around 54° C: Hence the drying process is extremely fast and energy efficient. With the help of Airbags a pressure of approximately 70tons is evenly applied onto the work piece. Through this technique we achieve an “ironing-effect” which will prevent the wood to skew.
